If any cream belongs in every bathroom, it's this one. CeraVe was developed with dermatologists and its formula is simple and effective: three ceramides (the lipids that make up skin's barrier) and hyaluronic acid, released gradually through its MVE technology.
It hydrates for hours without feeling greasy, has no fragrance and is gentle even on eczema-prone skin — hence the National Eczema Association seal. Use it on face, body and hands.
The 19 oz tub works out to about $1 per ounce, a fraction of luxury ceramide creams. It lacks the sensorial texture of a high-end cream or anti-aging actives, but at the essentials — repairing and maintaining the barrier — it's hard to beat.
