Our review
INSTYTUTUM is a Swiss-born brand with a clinical focus, and SuperBiotic tackles a very common problem: a skin barrier damaged by exfoliants, retinoids or professional treatments.
The formula is very complete: plant ceramides to rebuild the barrier, pre- and probiotics to balance the microbiome, polyglutamic acid (which holds more water than hyaluronic acid) and soothers like panthenol and evening primrose oil. No added fragrance.
The catch is the price: almost $100 for 50 ml, when CeraVe Moisturizing Cream offers ceramides for a fraction of the cost. It's very highly rated, but with only 29 reviews it's too early to call it consensus.

Apply morning and night on clean skin as your final moisturizing step; add sunscreen by day.
